ARTEMis

The growing intensity of natural hazards driven by climate change calls for an upgraded and more efficient emergency response across Europe. ARTEMis aims to unify and harmonize methodologies, protocols, and tools for emergency management by integrating Earth Observation data, AI-driven analytics, and real-time information sharing. Through this, the project seeks to enhance situational awareness, improve disaster response, and empower stakeholders — including citizens — for greater preparedness and resilience.

What We Do

ARTEMis develops harmonised, impact-based approaches for emergency management across Europe, improving how natural hazards are monitored, forecasted and communicated. The project integrates advanced data, Earth Observation and AI tools to support timely, informed decision-making.

Our Approach

ARTEMis combines scientific excellence with operational expertise, bringing together authorities, researchers and technology providers. Through cross-border use cases and validated pilots, the project aligns existing systems, standards and practices into a collaborative emergency management framework.

Our Mission

ARTEMis aims to strengthen Europe’s preparedness and response to natural hazards in the context of climate change. By enhancing risk awareness, improving early warning and supporting coordinated action, the project contributes to safer, more resilient communities through trusted and interoperable solutions.
